Read me
Here’s a little info on this page and about me as a photographer.
About this page
I’ll be honest, showcasing my own photography work has always been a bit of a ??? for me – there are many approaches to a photography portfolio, and I often sway from one to another.
This current version of my portfolio focuses on showing breadth rather than multiple full series of images. However, I’m currently working on splitting this into two sections, one with collections of single images, and one with a set of select series. That’s in progress so for now, what you see here is a combination of series and collections of singles.
Collections here are thus loosely grouped; you’ll find portraits in each, for example, even though there’s a section dedicated to only portraits in ‘People'. 'Alt' is a bit of a catch-all category, and ‘Outdoor' might be the most defined. 'Food 'is a bit of a weird category, as I’ve done more restaurant work in the far past but am choosing to show more fun experimental work instead that’s been mostly a personal endeavor, including a personal zine I hope to digitally publish some day.
PS There is, however, a way to see all the photos on one page, just look around to find the link… 👀
About me as a photographer
I’m self taught! I bought my first camera while at UCLA and didn’t really know what I was doing, but slowly practiced and learned, until I made the leap to working as a photographer/creative full-time in late 2016. My favorite subject is people, so you’ll always find folks in my work, and portraits and profiles are my favorite thing to do. While I did learn on my own, I had one great teacher and mentor in Eugénie Frerichs, who was my direct supervisor during my first work with Patagonia in 2018.
To be continued! And thanks for reading and stopping by.
